"Have you ever wondered how to teach your child colors? Hi I'm Dr. Donna with some advise on teaching colors to your toddler. The first thing you want to do is just expose them to a lot of color in the world. Give them the opportunity to see dvds that are just loaded with colors. And talking about colors allow them to play with colors by using paper and pencils and crayons. All kinds of art materials is the best way to stimulate a child's awareness of color. Also point out what they wear they have a blue shirt on, blue socks. Talk about the toys their toys being colors. Constantly talk about colors, their food, cars, anything. The opportunity to talk about colors is endless in a child's world. Encourage them to talk about what color they have on, if a child says the wrong color it's no big deal, they'll learn it over time. Say yes, I see that's a pink shirt instead it may be really a, you know, they may have said it was a red shirt. It doesn't matter just expose them to colors and talk about colors.
