"Have you ever wondered how to teach your child the days of the week? Hi, I'm Dr. Donna with some tips on doing that. First thing you want to do is get some paper. It can be really big like this. Just white construction paper. Or you can let them choose some color paper. It doesn't matter. Start making your own calendar. Lay it out. You could laminate it so you can use it week after week. I think the thing with learning the days of the week it's kind of in an abstract concept. And you can start to link it to what your child does day in and day out. Do they have swim classes on certain days? Do they go have a play date? Do they go and do art class? Whatever they do, start linking it and start talking about. "Today is Tuesday." Today we go to swim. Write in on the calendar. Also, allow them to write on there. Allow them to decorate the calender. Talk about it, use videos, use books. Have them come out and see out in the world, there's always Tuesday. We have this going on sale. When you go to the grocery store, talk about Tuesday, Wednesday, this will be going on. Let your child experience it first hand. The best way to do is just talk about it every single day so that it becomes a part of their life. Let them know when they wake up, "today is Monday. Today we go to swim class." This is Dr. Donna with some tips on teaching the days of the week. Good luck."
