"Have you ever wondered how to teach your child to write? Hi, my name's Dr. Donna with some tips on learning how to write for your toddler. The first thing you want to do is remember, they love to draw, they love to color, they love to use writing utensils or writing tools. So, first thing, get them some paper. This will help avoid them writing on your walls and your tables. Get some paper, keep it closely at hand so they can have free access to it. The next thing you want to do, is remember as a parent, writing is a developmental process. Children need to have the fine motor skills in order to do it. It's not something that's going to happen over night. They need to have the cognitive skills too, to be able to put the whole process into work. Give them opportunity to write a paper, to dictate stories, to just, to just color and use also tools like shaving cream and sand and let them experiment with their finger. Give them the opportunity to dictate a story to you and you write it back. Just remember to give them free exposure to writing tools and always encourage it whenever you're around them. This is Dr. Donna with teaching you how to teach your child to write. Good luck."
