How to Choose Scrapbook Materials

"Choosing scrapbook materials is a very personal thing. There are a few things though that you need just to get started. I'm Janet Casto your independent demonstrator with Stampin' Up! And here are some of the favorite things that I like to have on hand. First of all I like to have a good pair of paper snips. These are for cutting cut outs and doing small snips. And they're a smaller scissor so you can get into tight spots. And then I like to have a good pair of scissors for cutting my ribbons. Take your ribbon, it's very nice to just be able to cut it and you have a good clean edge. And speaking of ribbon you'll need a good variety of ribbon. I would usually start with some solid colors. Maybe then add a couple of stripes, things like that. Your paper, I always want to start you with a little bit of solids and a little bit of maybe some designer series paper or something that has some color to it just to give you a little variety. And I would start with a few pages of 12 by 12 and a few pages of 8 1/2 by 11. To keep going what I like to have on hand are punches. And a good variety of punches, something to get started would be some squares, some circles and a variety of punches that you like. This is all very personalized. I also like wheels. So I would have the wheel sizes for the jumbo wheels and the regular standard size wheels and some re-anchors. Those are just a few ideas to get you started.
