How to Create Decorative Picture Mats

"I'm Janet Casto, your independent demonstrator with Stampin' Up!, and what I'm doing today is decorating some picture mats for my frames. I've stamped this beautiful starfish, and now I'm adding some different layers of card stock, with a corner square, and layering here, to give it some dimension. This is a quick and easy way to decorate a frame and a mat so you can give a nice gift to someone. And there's another way to decorate a mat, and I really love this way. This is a piece of chip board--just plane chip board in the back. I've taken some designer series paper, I've covered it, I've added some contrasting designer series paper, a ribbon, here's a photo of my friends, and some embellishments up at the top. Now this photo mat is ready to go, to go right into a frame, and you have a wonderful gift. There's nothing better than getting a photo mat decorated as a gift to your family or your friends.
