"Pop-up cards are a lot of fun. With the holidays coming up I am going to show you how to make a couple cute pop-up cards. This one is a Christmas tree pop-up card. When you open the card, of course the Christmas tree pops right up. Kids love these cards a lot. But, also adults do too. So let me show how to make these. What I like to do is use the same color card stock so the two pages blend together. You are cutting your first one at five and one half by four and one quarter. Your second one you are just cutting at five and one quarter by four. Once you get this cut, you are going to take your little one ,the smaller of the two, find the center and make two slits. Your slit length is going to depend on the size of the stampage you are using. If I am using a Christmas tree, that's a little taller, I would want my slit to be a little longer. So once I get the slit cut and you cut your slit right with your cutting and scoring blade. I am going to go ahead stamp my tree in stays on ink. Color them in with my markers. Then I am going to just cut them out and attach them to my card. So I have ornaments on the outside. It says Merry and Bright. Ho! Ho! Ho!. Tis the Season. You open it up and there is your Christmas tree. Another cute idea would be to put little gifts down here stamped at the bottom. So it looked like the Christmas presents were underneath the tree. Christmas is right around the corner. So, get started on your pop-up cards soon. Janet Casto, your Independent demonstrator with Stampin' Up and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season."
