How to Make a Snowman Pop-Up Card

"It's never to early to make Christmas cards. And I like Christmas cards that are a little untraditional, that move and jump and play with you, as do a lot of kids. So what I'm going to show you today is how to make a snowman pop up card. I'm Janet Casto your independent demonstrator with Stampin' Up! These cards are a lot of fun to make and they're really easy once you get the design down. So let me show you how I got started. I took one piece of card stock 5 1/2 by 4 1/4. That's my outside base and then I made another one the same color so it doesn't show at 5 1/4 by 4. I've marked the middle of my card and then I'm going to put a slit on each side, usually an inch to an inch and a half. It depends on how big the pop up that you want. So once I have that done, score it and crease it so it'll pop up when you open the card and then I'm just going to take and I'm going to adhere that to the inside of this card and you'll have about a quarter inch border because that's what you cut. And then you'll take and stamp, for this one I stamped a snowman. I stamped him in Stays On ink and then I colored it with my markers. And then when I'm done stamping him and coloring him I'm going to him out and I'm going to place him right there inside the card. So here's the card. The little ornaments are on the front and when you open him up your little snowman pops up and says Merry Christmas. Pop up cards are a lot of fun to make.
