"Hi, I'm Tim Cole with the Austin Reptile Service, I've been keeping reptiles amphibians for over forty years. We're talking about making the frog habitat. First it depends on what kind of frog you've got, if it's a tree frog their going to need vertical space, if it's an aquatic frog, like an African Clawed Frog, it's going to need an aquarium like a fish tank or if it's an African Bullfrog or Argentine Horned Frog, it's going to require a terrestrial cage that it can burrow into, some kind of substrate, like organic humus or some type of soil sphagnum moss, peat moss. A lot of these are suitable for them to burrow into. You can provide a hiding place, they may use it, they may not, they may make their own. You always want to provide a water source for them. A lot of them might need additional water such as misting and all frogs are carnivorous so their going to eat smaller animals. If you're feeding them crickets, you need to supplement the crickets with calcium. I like the African Bullfrogs and the Argentine Horned Frogs because they feed on small rodents and they get everything they need from the whole animal."
