Summary: Feeding a frog in an aquarium is as easy as dropping fish food in the tank. Feed frogs in aquariums with these expert tips from a reptile specialist in this free video about pet care.
"Hi, my name is Tim Cole. I'm with the Austin Reptile Service, here to talk to you about feeding frogs that live in an aquarium. And we're talking about aquatic frogs. There are several kinds, they're commonly kept for pets. One of the most common is the dwarf African clawed frogs. They get about that big. And they primarily feed on a little ReptoMin or fish flake food, and they usually do pretty well living in an aquarium with fish. Now, the normal size African clawed frogs are a much bigger frog. They can get about four to six inches, and they will eat fish. I like to feed those minnows. Minnows are a good food source for frogs. They tend to be healthier than goldfish, and not as dirty as goldfish. And they actually cost you less. Go to a bait store, and you can buy a dozen minnows for a pretty reasonable price. Some of the other aquatic...semi-aquatic frogs would be fire-belly toads, which a lot of people like to keep. And they'll also eat insects. But they like to spend a lot of time in the water."
