"The pros of being a movie star, that would be that you are usually offered very very high quality projects, and you have the ability to pick and choose a lot of the time, what you want to participate in. You are guaranteed a very good salary if you're a movie star, that would be an upside always. And of course you're given a certain latitude as I mentioned earlier that you know, you can go out and do projects and if it doesn't particularly click that one, then you're given another chance. Because it's a very unforgiving business, being in film and television, you know. Nobody wants to look at themselves. There's a lot of finger pointing that goes on when a project doesn't make it or fails. So I think the pros of being that is that you have a lot of fan, you have a fan base. You people that already like you for who you are, just coming out of the gate. You don't have to prove anything in the sense that there's always a fan base, people are going to go see your movie. But then again, conversely of that, you always have to deliver. So there's a certain pressure that comes with being in that classification of a movie star. The cons of being a movie star, is once you go forward you can't go back. Your anonymity is somewhat gone. So you may be less likely to try new things out. You know, people will tell you, well they loved you in that move and this is the way you were, so why don't we just go ahead and do that again, and again and again. For instance comedians that are wildly successful and popular, like Jim Carey, when they try to do serious things, I happen to think they're very good at it, lots of times the people don't want to see that. They don't want to see their comedians and their stars do these certain roles because, I liked them in that part and he's good at that but I'm nor really comfortable watching this person who I knew from all these other rolls, you know, try this out. You know, I feel it's kind of a strange thing. So, it's often hard to get stereotyped, pigeon holed, you know. There's many millions of dollars, please pigeon hole me. So lots of times it's a hard sell, doing that cross over from comedies in to serious projects, or serious in to comedies, conversely, you know. Your anonymity's gone, you can't go back really unless, you know you associate failure with anonymity, so it's kind of hard to be a successful movie actor and always keep it up and keep going create new work that's you know, enjoyable."
