"Actually, looking at reverse layups, a lot of times reverse layups can get your out of sticky situations during a game. Coaches, a lot of coaches may not like them, but during the heat of battle, sometimes they can really turn a game around. Hi, I'm Travis and this is shooting a reverse layup. One thing you want to look at when you're shooting a reverse layup is, which side that you're coming from. If you're coming from the left side, the defense may be right underneath the basket. A lot of times when I play, whenever I shoot a reverse layup, what I try to do is, I try to take off, plant with my left foot, if I'm coming from the left side, and take off here, raising my right foot. After I raise my right foot, and my right leg, that motion should take me all the way across the paint, all the way across the paint to the other side, and then, that's when I finish with the opposite hand, with the right hand. Now, do the exact opposite coming from the right side, but a lot of times what that'll do is, it'll get you out of sticky situations with the defense, cause the defense a lot of times, is not looking for it. That's shooting a reverse layup."
