"You know one of the most spectacular players ever to play the game was Michael Jordan. Hi, I'm Travis and I'm going to show you just how to dunk like Michael Jordan. One thing that Mike always did was before he took off; Mike always had a focus, a mental focus that he was going to make whatever he tried to do. So it just isn't any other thing that mental is 90% of what you're going to do physically. So once you get yourself mentally prepared to say "I'm going to dunk and I'm going to complete this dunk, and focus“. The next step is taking off. Now before you take off depending on if you're taking off with two feet or one, if you're taken off with one foot you might want to come in with the, with the left foot, if you're right handed and off, and a lot of times Mike, what Mike would do is he would cock it back like this because he could palm the ball so you can cock it back like this and open up kind of like a bird, and use this hand not to push off but use it as, as kind of a balance so that when he dunked it he, he's be able to hold himself and control himself in the air. People, a lot of people don't pay attention to that but Mike could control himself phenomenally in the air. So what do we do is? You come up, take off and once you get in the air, now this is an advanced technique, this is after you can actually comfortably dunk. So you take off and you spread out like this, and lean towards the basket and jam it through. Now another thing Mike used to do, also be able to do is dunk from the free throw line, if you can get to that level you, you want to take off; practice probably within the free throw line and just continually move back the more comfortable you get with jumping. So there you have it, dunking like Michael Jordan."
