"You know, the game of basketball started out of Massachusetts, by a guy I call Dr. Naismith. Mr. Naismith started the game out, by using a peach basket, and now look where we are. Hi, I'm Travis, and this is how to play the game of basketball. Now, when you're playing the game of basketball, you want to make sure that you have, number one, a basketball, and you have leather balls, or you have what we have today. We have a rubber ball. Now, the way you play is, you have five on the offense, and five on the defense. The offense is the team that's trying to score. The defense is the team, that 's trying to prevent them from scoring. The ways that you score, is that you just put the ball though the basket, however, you can do it. Now, whether that's a layup, or a jump shot, it doesn't matter, just getting it through the basket. Now, you have various offenses that the offense will try to run, to get different people open, so that they can actually score, so and that varies depending on where you're playing, depending on your coach, and what he wants to run. Now, the defense will try to trump that, by playing a zone or a man to man. The zone is basically, if your team is shooting a lot of jump shots, you don't want to use a zone. You want to use a man to man. If the team is driving a lot, you don't want to use the man to man. You want to use the zone, so it's as simple as that. That's about the premise of it. Try to play, find some way to play. You'll kind of get the hang of it. That's playing basketball."
