"You know, you're not always going to need a pole and some type of free standing structure to actually play basketball. Sometimes, you can do it from the comfort of your home, or somewhere around your home where you already have an existing structure. Hi, I'm Travis, and this is how to install that goal on an existing structure. Number one, you want to have either maybe a garage you have at your home, or a carport. Once you get that backboard--you buy that first backboard, and you attach it somewhere on that carport where it's going to have enough support that you don't have to worry about when you're going up, taking a shot, or if you're dunking, you don't have to worry about pulling anything down, or messing anything up on your home. So, you want to basically put that backboard up in a place--in a wide open space, where you can--where you've got enough space where you can actually run games, and you can actually take shots. You don't have to worry about knocking out a window or anything else around your home. So, after you get that backboard up, then you want to attach the rim to that backboard. And test it first. Test it to see, make sure, take a couple of shots, make sure that nothing is going to come down, and you're not going to--the ball doesn't fly all over the place, hurting anything around your home, and another thing that might take care of that, is finding and buying a net. Here, we have a chain net, but there's a variation. You can get a chain net, I've seen obviously nylon net, but I've also seen kind of straps which they also use as nets, kind of like the strap you would have on your book bag. There you have it. Putting a goal up on an existing structure."
