"Hi, I'm William Richey, I'm an executive manager with American Eagle Security in Springfield Oregon. And I got my first security job when I was about 19 years old. And I just walked into a business that had an ad in the paper, they were looking for security officers. It ended up being a older couple that were running the business out of their house. So my interview was in their living room, while they were watching TV, the evening news, kind of informal, and filled out the application, and they hired me, and I started working for them. And from there I progressed on, and got my armed certification, and went to work for another company working for the school district, patrolling schools at night time. And I've continued on to the point where now I'm executive manager, and I own my own business, and run a security company now. For most people it would be a little more formal. They would come to an office, similar to the one that I'm in, and fill out an application. Either answering a help wanted add, or just a walk in off the street, and fill out the paperwork, and go through the interview process. And that's how I got my first job as a security officer, and how most people would get theirs."
