"My name is Dorothy Schick. I'm a flight instructor and the owner of TakeWING at the Creswell Airport near Eugene, Oregon. And I became a flight instructor because I wanted to be able to work with people, bring them into aviation like I was brought into aviation. I started out actually early on as a kid wanting to fly and didn't have any role models. So I begged my parents to allow me to start skydiving, which, bless their hearts, they did. So after I entered college, I decided that maybe staying in an airplane would be a little easier than jumping out and started my flight lessons. And its just been a wonderful, incredible experience all the way along. I would recommend it for anyone for the challenge; for the incredible amount of change that it brings, not only to your life, but to other people who learn to fly and have always wanted, dreamed of, learning to fly. So its a wonderful experience to be able to bring that to the other people, and that's why I love being an instructor."
