on 10/21/2008 Janice, I found you. It's Christine Jump here. I have your old phone number. I'm finally getting it together to move Gideon's investments. Do you still do that? Or can you refer me to someone you'd trust w/ your funds? Please email me: cjumpc at yahoo dot com

"So if you're interested in applying for this type of job or getting into this type of work I had a rather extraordinary experience personally getting into the financial business. I drove by a certain financial firm every day. And I heard their advertisements on t.v. and I felt like my own financial plan actually really was not in order at all. And I thought it would be quite interesting if I not only went and talked to them about my financial plan but maybe even got into the business because I felt like I didn't understand it. So I went and got several of my licenses so that I would have an insurance license and a trading license and different types of licenses so that I could actually go work for them and then I walked in to their office and asked if I could just have any job that they had available. And they hired me on as an assistant. And I worked as an assistant for 3 years. And got some other licenses and some other education under my belt and then I did a transitional time where I was part assistant and part adviser. Because a lot of firms have a very specific corporate culture or how they want you to manage money. And every firm is different. So I went for a family owned firm, type of firm. It fit well with my personality. And I've been in the business now going on 8 almost 9 years. And I am in charge of my own clients. So it's a process but I would say most importantly excellent resume, lots of ability to work with people and be willing to go in on the ground level if that's where you have to start."
