"How to decide whether to buy through a realtor or by yourself. I'm Richard Blake and I'm here to explain how you can decide whether to buy through a realtor or by yourself. Fortunately here in Florida we do not charge the buyers anything to work with them. Buyer's representation is free, it's actually the sellers that pay for all of the realtor's fees. So we don't have to worry about it here. Other states I believe they do charge a fee up front. One of the things that you are going to consider is just how valuable is that service. I tend to think that it's invaluable, you are going to do end up paying for a lawyer or for other items that are not facilitated when you don't have a real estate agent involved. So you are really not going to save any money as well as you are really going to save yourself substantial time by working with a realtor cause you've got all your tools needed to find your home, you know under one roof there. They are going to be able to get you a list of properties that are currently available on the market within your price range and within your search criteria. So that's going to eliminate a lot of the hassle of looking for a home right off the bat. As well as they are going to have key information of what is going on in the market and what property values are going for in the neighborhoods that you are looking at. So you can rest assured that you are going to make a good sound offer on a property and not over pay for it. You've got someone negotiating on your best half. So that can save you thousands of dollars right off the bat as well, just on your purchase price. Not to mention the closing part of the transaction or the end of the transaction they are going to be able to recommend a title company for you to use to actually do the closing. Again that's here in Florida. Other states are going to require a lawyer, but at least you are going to know that the lawyer, or the closing company comes highly recommended from a real estate agent that is working in your best interest. Ok. So I'm Richard Blake and I hope that helps you decide whether to buy through a realtor or buy by yourself. Thanks have a great day."
