"Hello, have you ever wondered how to choose a divorce attorney if you're contemplating divorce? Well I'm Dr. Felicia, and I would like to share with you a few tips that I've picked up along many years of working in divorce situations. The first thing you might want to do is talk other persons, friends, or family who's already been through a divorce, and ask if they have any references for you. The other thing you can do is, call your local board, bar association in your community, ask for the family law division, and ask for a family law attorney. It's very important that they specialize in family law so that they know the updated current laws. The other thing you might want to do is, call individual attorneys once you make your list, and get a few names, and ask if they have a free consultation, many do. Many lawyers have to work pro bono so many hours, they work pro bono, and they are associated often times with domestic abuse centers, they have a certain amount of attorneys that work for them. The important thing is that you go to the office, do your consultation, look around, make sure the credentials are seemingly valid, and that they look very professional. And then of course you make your decision. You usually get feedback from the attorneys about how they evaluate your case, and you'll get a good feel for it. And with that in mind, you kind of summarize all your consultations, and then make your final decision. It's a very stressful time, so be sure to write down any questions you have for the attorney, as well as go home and make a feedback, and take notes of any perceptions that you got from each attorney, because overtime you'll forget. So keep a kind of a journal, and write down your reactions. I wish you good luck, it's a very difficult time, and god bless. Dr. Felicia, signing off."
