"You know, many of us enjoy a drink or two of alcohol throughout our daily lives; however, when we become inebriated with alcohol then there is a process that must take place. Hi, I'm Captain Joe Bruni, and what we're going to talk about is the process on how to sober up. A night of binge drinking or hard drinking can take its toll on the body. One of the keys would be intake of lots of water after a night on the town. Basically, the longer that you can sleep, the more sober you will be when you will awaken. Ibuprofen and other painkillers can also be used. Remember, alcohol dehydrates the body. Using something like coffee to sober up; coffee being a diuretic, may bring the person, or make them more alert, or bring them to a a more level, higher level of consciousness, but keep in mind that it will also dehydrate the body. Exercise or going for a walk can also be a big benefit, but also keep in mind that the person should constantly be monitored for the signs of dehydration. So the key in detoxification of alcohol from the body is to take in plenty of fluids and water to help replace the lost water that alcohol removes from the body. I'm Captain Joe Bruni. Stay safe, and we'll see ya' next time."
