"You know, a trip to the ocean or the beach can be a very fun experience. However, it could turn into an injury at times. Hi, I'm Captain Joe Bruni. What I want to talk about is how to treat the common jellyfish sting. The jellyfish sting will be treated differently than the sting of a man of war. Both animals have different types of venom. The jellyfish sting should first be treated n the salt water by grabbing a handful of sand and vigorously rubbing it across the sting or the affected area site. Once out of the salt water, it's a three step process to treat the jellyfish sting. The products should be placed in three separate plastic bottles and labeled accordingly with the appropriate number. Bottle number one will contain vinegar. Vinegar will be applied to the site where the injury has occurred or the sting has occurred first. Ten seconds later, the second bottle will be applied that contains one part ammonia to four parts water. And then after the ammonia bottle, or the second bottle application, the third bottle is used that contains aloe Vera gel. In this fashion, the jellyfish sting can be treated rapidly and reduce the amount of pain and swelling that occurs. I'm Captain Joe Bruni. Stay safe, and we'll see you next time."
