"We live in a very stressful world. And a lot of times our stress is carried right here in our shoulders, so that we end up with our shoulders way up here by our ears or maybe even our shoulders roll forward. These things can cause other problems, postural imbalances, and also maybe ever carpal tunnel syndrome because you end up using more wrist then you do your shoulders and forearms, or maybe even tendinitis. So a good way to bring circulation to your shoulders and relieve stress in your shoulders is just to do a little stretch up and down with the arms using a strap. So I'm just holding on to a strap, a little bit wider than my shoulders. This is going to increase the circulation to the shoulder area. So you inhale, reach the arms up and then as you drop the arms down it opens up through your chest. Inhale, you reach the arms up, and exhaling to bring the arms down. This is a great thing to do if you do suffer from carpel tunnel or tendinitis, because anything you can do where you're not putting pressure on your arms or on your shoulders or on your wrists is a great way to heal and still be able to do your yoga practice ever though you might suffer from one of these problems. I'm Cindy Mastry, namaste."
