"If you suffer from a repetitive stretch injury such as carpal tunnel or tendinitis, tennis elbow, the chair pose is a great pose for you to practice because it requires absolutely no pressure on your elbows or your arms at all or your wrists and it strengthens the arms and increases the blood flow to the arms, hands and wrists. So chair pose we just bring our feet about hip width distance apart and begin to sit down just like we're going to sit down into a chair so you should be able to see your toes. You want your knees back a little bit. You want to tilt your tail bone down and draw your belly button in so you have a long line from our tail bone to the crown of the head and then reaching the arms up, rolling the shoulder blades down and reaching out through your fingers so in this way you are activating your arms. If you reach from your arm pits to your fingertips you are activating your arms without putting any pressure on your arms at all so the chair pose is a really great way to heal tendinitis or carpal tunnel syndrome because there is no pressure put on your wrists, or elbows or arms at all yet it strengthens them and brings fresh blood flow. I'm Cindy Mastry. Namaste."
