"You know, as individuals, most of us enjoy a trip to the beach or a day in the sun. Hi, I'm Captain Joe Bruni, and what I'm going to talk about is how to soothe the effects of a sunburn. Sunburn is basically a first-degree burn that occurs from too much sun exposure. One of the quick and easy ways to find discomfort or to relieve discomfort from a sunburn is to apply aloe vera from the aloe plant. If an aloe plant grows in the area, picking a leaf and peeling back the skin of the leaf and applying to the skin will bring a great deal of relief. If an aloe plant is not available, trip to your local pharmacy and the purchase of one hundred percent aloe vera gel should be purchased and applied to the skin in the same fashion. If the arms or the legs have been sunburned, elevate them. If the eyelids have been burned; cool teabags, moistened teabags placed over the eyelids will aid in comfort. Keep in mind, sleeping in loose-fitting type of clothing or pajamas will also aid in the stinging or pain relief area. I'm Captain Joe Bruni. Stay safe, and we'll see ya' next time."
