Switching to Cloth Diapers

"Are you considering using cloth diapers? You're making a great choice for your baby and your environment. Hi, I'm Erin Sheppard with Austin Baby. And I'm going to talk about how to make the switch from disposables to cloth diapers. The first thing that you'll probably want to do is research a local store or cloth diapering boutique where you can actually go in. Be ready to touch and feel many different types. Ask lots of questions and get the feel for what's going to best for you and your family and your baby. And a few things that you'll want to consider when you do that are your budget and your lifestyle. So as you're looking at them compare the the cost, the washing routines, and what's easy if you are on the go a lot. And also consider a diaper service if there is one locally available. And then after you've looked at many different types if you aren't ready to jump in completely to one type of diaper, it's very common to choose maybe two or three of different types and you can try them out. Many cloth diapering stores have used diapers available or you can find them on-line and give a try that way before you actually invest in one system of diapering.
