"Packing a bag for a new baby can be pretty scary. But if you're cloth diapering there's really not any extra you need to do. And it's quite easy. Hi. My name is Erin Sheppard with Austin Baby and I'm going to tell you how to pack a bag for cloth diapers. The first thing that you need, obviously, is the bag itself. So specific to cloth diapers is of course the diapers. And if you're doing a small day trip you just need a few and a smaller bag will be just fine. If you use the all in one style as opposed to a two part system you'll be carrying less. Once you're diaper is dirtied, if it's a poopy diaper particularly, you can spray it with some enzyme odor control and that will eat the bacteria and keep the odor really in control so that you don't have a dirty smelling diaper bag. You'll also want to take a wet bag. And a lot of people like to use zippered or snapped or drawstring bags in their diaper bag. And that keeps everything nice and enclosed. And that's where you'll put the dirty diapers. Another thing that you'll want are some wipes. And of course you could take some disposable wipes but since you're already doing the laundry with your cloth diapers you might as well save yourself a lot of money and use some cloth wipes and get a small bottle of wipey solution. You just spray this directly on the baby's skin and wipe with a nice, soft cloth wipe. And if your baby needs diaper ointment then a small tube will fit very compactly into your diaper bag. However if your baby doesn't need it don't pack it. And then you'll probably want to take along a waterproof and slightly absorbent changing pad. And that way you can control what your baby lays on and of course contain any messes if they should happen while changing. So you can see you have a very compact diaper bag for cloth diapers. And if you're going on a longer trip? Use the larger bag, more diapers. And you'll notice that some diaper bags come with the changing pad and so check that so you don't double pack. So you see packing a bag for cloth diapers is not scary at all. Thanks. I'm Erin Sheppard with Austin Baby."
