Video Transcript

"Today's cloth diapers are much easier than years before. Hi I'm Erin from Austin Baby and we'll show you how to change several different types of cloth diapers. Removing a dirty diaper you want to make sure that you have your changing table prepared so that you never leave your baby unsupervised. In removing the dirty diaper have that ready to set aside and you can take care of baby, clean baby and when putting on a clean pre-fold you lay it in its rectangular shape, fold the back down, fold the front in, baby will go down on the diaper, pull it up, stretch out the front so that you create some tabs and can overlap right here from back to front. And the you'll take the snappy which has teeth that aren't too sharp but similar to ace bandage clasps that go sideways. And you'll literally just lay it on there. And they'll glide right in and pull down. And that gets your absorbent part. Then to make it water proof you just add a cover. And the covers come in Velcro and snaps typically. This particular one is in Velcro. And that's changing a pre-fold and a cover. Now to change a fitted diaper you would do the exact same thing but instead of using the snappy and folding the diaper, with this one you just snap or Velcro it on depending on how it works. And then you would put the cover on top of that. The next one is an all in one. And that absorbent part and the cover is all in one piece. So with this diaper what you do is Velcro or snap depending on the type of diaper. And the entire diaper's already on. There are other types that are called pockets. And when you're changing a pocket diaper and you remove the dirty one you will want to let the insert fall out into your dirty diaper area and then dispose of the cover part as well. And then when changing a one size diaper you just want to make sure the snap settings are set to how you want in order for it to be a one size. And that's how you change a cloth diaper. I'm Erin with Austin Baby. Thanks."
