on 3/17/2009 So the page says that this individual has more than 18 years experience in the beauty industry, but she obviously missed the section about what many regard as a TRUE lolita hairstyle. She must mean something alone the line of a hairstyle that the character from the BOOK would wear. NOT what a modern day lolita would wear. Honestly, I don't think she even knows different meanings of the term lolita. Granted, the dictionary gives the formal definition of a "nymphet/ seductive adolescent girl," but more commonly known is it's informal definition. The term "Lolita" (often used in conjunction with the word "Gothic") is used by the Japanese to describe a sub-culture of teenagers who wear a wide range of fashions, including, but not limited to dresses with bows, ribbons and frills. It is used by English language sources mainly to describe a specific subset of Lolita fashion.
My rant for this woman's lack of knowledge about true modern lolita hairstyles is over.
