"You know one of the common insect bites that could effect us as human beings and make it difficult to identify what it is, is the common chigger. The chigger is the larvae of a harvest mite. Many times chiggers will attack our bodies around the abdominal or the stomach area. You will see localized bite marks that will appear red in coloration. Eventually these red marks begin to weep and intense itching will result from the common chigger bite. Many people bitten by chiggers because it frequently does not happen that often, will have a difficult time identifying what type of insect bite they have incurred. Again the chigger is the larvae of the harvest mite which attacks the abdominal area usually, although bites can occur on other areas of the body. And they will be small, red type of bite marks with intense itching following the bite and eventual weeping of those reddened areas. I'm Captain Joe Bruni, stay safe and we'll see you next time."
