"Know while spending time outdoors going to warmer months of the year, it's common for mosquitoes to be around and pester us as human beings. Hi I'm Captain Joe Bruni and what I'm going to talk about is how to make a natural repellent for mosquitoes. A natural repellent can be made by mixing something like ten ounces of witch hazel, vodka or cooking oil with an ounce of an essential type of oil. Like citronella, eucalyptus, peppermint, camphor oil, or many of the other essential oils available over the counter. This can be applied as some type of natural bug repellent to the skin or even clothing. Another common way to repel mosquitoes, through our gardening techniques would be to grow natural repellents in the yard. Things such as marigolds, lemon grass and things along these lines, repel mosquitoes naturally. Also remove any standing water that you may find located anywhere in the backyard. Burning of citronella candles also are common ways to repel the common pesky mosquito. Every year thousands of these mosquitoes find their way into our backyards, are camping trips and our recreational time across the United States. I'm Captain Joe Bruni, stay safe and we'll see you next time."
