"Hi my name is Amy Kistler and why would someone become a personal trainer. Well for me personally I started teaching aerobics classes and when I was teaching my aerobic classes I had people come up to me asking if I could train them. And then I looked into it, I had a background already in kinesiology and went got certified and I shadowed personal trainers and got a lot of information from them. I also personally have worked out since I was little so I also new a lot about exercise. And when I started training my clients and I saw my client's lives changing for the better. It motivated me and got me excited to come to work every single day. There's nothing else I'd rather be doing. For example I had one client that would come in and she was on some antidepressants and after two months she was able to get off of them and she was a different person. And just so thankful and I just love to see how somebody can feel better about themselves. I've had people lose up to a hundred pounds and just to see the change and to see not only the change in their bodies but the change physically and mentally is amazing. And I think that's what drives me to be a personal trainer. It really is a rewarding experience and it's really what makes me excited to go to work for the day. I still really enjoy teaching my aerobics classes but I definitely really like personal training the best. I also would like to be able to go to people's homes and do some training. Some people don't feel comfortable coming into the gym. Some people like to exercise outside. And I want to be able to help them change their lives where they feel comfortable."
