"When I was younger as a child like everyone I had the various ideas of what I want to be. I bounced around from I want to be a veterinarian to this or that and finally had somewhat decided on becoming a teacher and being involved in the education field and to be able to accomplish that goal I've been involved in school obviously and as well one of the big transitions and aids to acquire more schooling was working in a telecommunications field offering me flexibility where I could still go to school. And as I have done that I have also learned a lot of things and taken a lot of opportunities to advance in the various companies that I have been with to build upon my skills and seek out promotions. Initially I was a supervisor, a senior supervisor, and now an operations manager and the path that brought me there was the desire to expand among the skills. I want to be a teacher so I use that as a stepping stool to learn opportunities to teach individuals whether it is in a supervisor capacity or filling in and in training, I have facilitated trainings. So I have utilized those skills that I have as far as training and teaching in the positions that I have acquired and they have been very helpful in meshing the two goals. The two goals don't sound like they would be very similar, teaching and telecommunications but as a manager you have the ability to teach every class that comes in. As a trainer you have them only for a certain amount of time but as the supervisor or operations manager or program manager, or whatever your title is, you have the chance to impact these individual's lives, not only in the work place but also help them in their goals as far as if they are going to school, if they are wanting to advance. There have been numerous opportunities where I have been able to impart the experience that I have had and the skills and point them in the proper direction and then have been able to advance whether it is within this company or move to another company and use the skills that they have used here to advance there. So kind of I want to be a teacher and I am realizing that goal in a lot of ways in my current position and I am continuing to go to school to achieve that goal."
