"I got my first job shortly after I got out of school. I knew a bunch of therapists that I'd worked with prior to going to school, so as I was finishing up my last internship, I was calling them every week to tell them I'm about done with school, see if they had any openings. I started working with a therapist up in Heber, Utah, in a clinic, and I also applied for this job here at Registered Physical Therapists in West Jordan, Utah, because my particular clinic right now we hadn't opened, and I applied for that job and when I found out I had passed my test to get my license, I called them up and he gave me the job over the phone, so I've been with Registered Physical Therapists for the last eight years. And this is where I've been. I guess that was my big break, and I've enjoyed it, and now back in 2005, I became the director of this clinic that I helped open, and so I moved from our West Jordan office in West Jordan, Utah, to this office, and started building up patient loads and going from there. When I first started in this job I was a staff therapist, and I was the staff therapist for about four and a half years. And then our owner asked me because of my production if I would come and become the director of a new clinic. And in that new clinic we had to start from scratch. We had to buy all new tables, all new electrical stimulation and ultrasound units. We had to get new computers. And so we basically started from scratch. We had to get new exercise equipment. We also got with a gentleman who wanted to have physical therapy in his building, and the building we're in deals with a lot of speed and power training for athletes in high schools. Also, it has a huge gym that we get to use. It has batting cages, it has a lot of different parts that are used with athletes, and so it really fits well with our clinic, and has been a good experience for us so far."
