"Hi, my name is Ashley Ludman from Seaside Yoga, here to review Ashtangamats. This is mat that I'm sitting on comparable to a Manduka Mat. It has good traction and durability. It's about 3/16th of an inch thick, maybe a little thicker even, but it has good staying power. It's not too sticky, so that when you are transitioning from pose to pose, you can move efficiently. Also in Ashtanga, you may want to consider a cotton practice rug that goes on top of the yoga mat which will help to absorb sweat if you are a vigorous practitioner, you'll probably find that you're, that you're sweating quite often in your yoga practice. So any type of sticky mat, top it's mat with an Ashtanga cotton practice rug on top. That practice rug you can toss in the washing machine after every practice and dry it either on the line outside or throw it in the dryer and they should stay pretty well. So those are my recommendations for an Ashtanga mat. practitioner."
