"Hi, I'm Melissa Maggiore with Alessi Bakeries in Tampa, Florida. I'm here to talk to you today about booking your baker for your wedding cake. After you've already met your designer, making sure that your personalities are compatible, making sure that the design work is finished, that they can actually implement everything that you would like to see on your wedding cake, after you've had your tasting, you've made all your final notes, and made up all your arrangements, it is then time to book the cake. You most certainly, if this is your baker of choice, you would want to book the cake as soon as possible. You most certainly would want to make sure that you have a deposit on the actual cake itself. If you don't have a deposit it's much easier for other people to come in behind you and rebook your date. So you always want to make sure that you hold the date. Usually, most bakers require at least a fifteen to twenty-five percent down deposit to hold the date for the cake, and making sure that all the arrangements are taken care of. When you actually book the deposit, your baker will then order the supplies that are needed to actually produce the cake to make sure that everything is ready for your day.
