"Now I'm going to talk to you about how to perform a trick in the fakie position. After you've determined the way that you ride by having a friend stand behind you and push on your shoulders and the board is mounted then you can start tackling the fakie position. Right now, as you can see, the board is set up for a person who rides regular. Their right foot is in back, the left foot's in front, this being the nose, this being the tail. To do something in the fakie position I want you to envision that we switch the board around totally; this being the tail now, this being the nose. You're going to perform every trick off of your back foot while riding backwards almost like riding switch. The main difference between riding switch and riding fakie is the way that you perform the trick. When riding switch you would ride completely backwards performing your back foot tricks with your front foot, but in this case when in the fakie position you are riding switch or backwards, whichever is easier for you to understand, but you're still performing your front foot tricks with your back foot."
