"Next I am going to talk to you about how to mount a board in what is known as the Alpine position. These bindings are a horrible example to show you this with because the Alpine binding is nothing like a snowboard binding. It is more of like a ski binding just flat to the board and I mean you wear ski boots with it so it is a very stiff ride but the Alpine mounting is very similar to the forward mounting. Both feet are set up at a positive angle but whereas a forward mount would be positive three angle on the back and positive 15 angle on the front, the Alpine mount would be almost completely parallel and you would probably almost go all the way to 45 degrees positive on each binding. This is a very rare way to ride. The Alpine boards aren't really that popular on the mountain and you might see some people set up in the forward, like I said 15 in the front foot and 3 in the back foot but you are really pressed to find somebody who rides in the Alpine position or with Alpine snowboarding equipment."
