Here we'll be discussing a B minor chord. Now similar to what we just did with the A chord, let's start with a B major chord and show you how to adapt that chord to make it into a minor chord, rather than having to memorize a whole new shape. Let's start with the B chord that we talked about before. You could either play it like this, stopping the picking at the B string, or with three fingers and barring at the back here, so that you get the high E string in there as well. Now, in a B scale, you've got B, D sharp, and F sharp as the notes that you need to make that chord happen. So we need to find where on the chord are the D sharps. We need to lower those by a half step to make it a minor chord. In this chord we've got a B, F sharp, a B, a D sharp, and an F sharp. Now the D sharps, if we lower those by a half step, that'll give us minor. There's our D sharp, bringing it down one fret, move your fingers around a little bit, there's your B minor.
