"The next part I'm going to go over is the step input. The step input allows you to draw in certain notes and chords and things like that. One at a time through the step input window. Now if you look at the step input window, you are going to see different types of things going on. Like, as long your cursor is where you want the note to go, you can add certain notes right away. You can maybe add different types of velocities and different noise. Things like that. You could also keep track of the steps that you are printing. Here's saying, so if you want to draw in a hat every sixteenth note. Its pretty easy just by pressing the sixteenth note, you can just draw in these little notes. And it'll be really easy to repeat and to move over and over again. When using this you can also affect the velocity, which is very important. By using the slider bar, you can change the velocity of all of the notes that you are inputting. It's very important, because when you are inputting things over and over again they're going to be the same velocity. So just to add that little randomized feeling you can do that. Or you can quantize it and add a little bit of randomizing on it. And just kind of make the velocities a little bit different."
