"What I'm going to do now is an option to split notes. Sometimes when you might play a drum pattern, you might record a drum pattern on the same track. You might have a snare, a kick, a couple high hats, whatever, some shakers. What you can do with the split notes options is you can take this, this midi data and split it up by the note. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to highlight a certain section of my track and open up the split notes window within the midi. Once the split notes option is open, I can actually take all the notes in between and split them into separate tracks. Once I apply, what I can do is, I can take each note, I can split it up, or I can just take certain notes between each of them. Take them out and split them into separate tracks or I can actually cut and I can copy the notes. If I copy the notes, it'll change the position and it'll actually switch the notes to separate tracks so that I can take each track and maybe individually adjust the volume, adjust the velocity, different things just within that line of notes."
