"All right, so the first turn you are going to want to learn, because it's the easiest is a heel edge turn. Because when you do it, you're looking down the mountain. And it's just naturally the easiest way to turn. It's not blind side like turning on your toes, where your head is kind of facing up the hill. The most important thing before you start turning is remember to always keep one edge up. You're going to want to keep the opposite edge up from the way that you are turning. So if you are turning on your heels, you have got to keep your toe edge up. Keep it off the snow so that you do not catch and hit your face, and get all messed up. Same thing with your toes. If you are turning on your toes you have got to keep your heel edge up. Your legs play a big part. To initiate your turn, I'm going to show you how to use your legs. Your back leg is probably the biggest thing that you need to use. Your back leg, use it to slide your board left and right. And then you have to hop on your edge, so to say. I'll explain that to you when we get on the hill. And I'll break it down a little bit more. But that's the basic thing that you need to remember."
