"Soft boots. Soft boots are usually for people who have been riding a long time. For more advanced riders, a lot of more advanced riders don't want every move they are making outside of their boots which means like their arms and when they are hitting jumps and hitting rails and hitting a half pipe. They don't want everything going to their board, to their boots. I'm saying this because compared to a stiff boot, if you have a stiff boot every move you make in your legs will change the way your board rides whether you are in the air or on a rail or making a turn. Soft boots are usually way more forgiving, you can move them around every way. I'd say just to go your shop and talk to one of the guys in there and they'll guide you around best but boots take a while to break in so I'd suggest trying on a pair and then asking the shop employee how long they take to break in because different boots take different times."
