"Choosing bindings. There are a lot of different bindings out these days. There is a lot of different technology being put into them but if you are just starting out it is pretty easy to pick out a binding. The first thing you are going to want to look for is finding a binding that matches your bolt pattern on your board. Your bolt pattern is usually four bolts or three bolts depending on your board and you need to go from there and if you go to a shop they will help you out and you need to pick a size of your binding. They start small, there is medium and then there is large and then once you go from there you are going to want to fit your binding to your boot and once you find all the things that work with your board and your boots then you can choose what type of binding you want but they're pretty simple and I have a pair of Burton Cartels here and they have the cap strap on them, low end bindings will have plastic ratchets and these are metal. These have leather which you don't need but it just forms better on your boot. These have really high backs which helps turning a lot. It is all a matter of preference pretty much. If you know what to look for you'll know what to buy. Since these are high end bindings they also have pads on the base so when you land all that shock doesn't go up into your legs."
