"Learning to ride boards are a new thing. There are some companies that manufacture them now because they are built so basically so you can start riding easier. The biggest thing they do is they make the edge to edge turning quicker so you can get off your edges quicker than a regular board and so you don't catch your edges when you are starting, that is the biggest thing when you are starting is watching your edges. Usually they are soft. Burton makes them, I believe Nitro, and some other companies but a learn to ride board is pretty cheap because there is not a lot of technology with them but if you want to start with that and use it for 10 times or whatever, then throw it away and get another one if you've got the money then that's good but I would actually tell you to just get the board you want to ride with but that's covering the learn to ride board."
