"Hi it's Dow at the Firehouse detail shop. And we are teaching you how to detail a car like a professional. One of the things that's annoying where we live here in Utah is bugs. Particular in the summer months. Cars will come in and the front will just be covered with bugs. Your typical washing process may not remove all the bugs and so in order to really get the car in a like new condition we've got to take some extra time and effort to removing bugs. I like to use a cleanser where I can actually go across the front of the vehicle and cover it and saturate it in a cleanser and let it soak and let it dwell. What we are trying to do is soften something that's been baked on you know, it's like cleaning an oven, that food in there is going to take a little time and a little energy so we get something on it. We let it, we can agitate it a little bit with a soft brush again we are working with black so nothing stiff, nothing hard. Even a white car it's still going to scratch. I also like to use microfiber towels. So after that's had some time to dwell, I can come in and apply a light pressure and I know that this clean dry towel is not going to scratch the car. So I work on those bugs and I get them off. We are still in a kind of deep cleaning mode at this point, we are not worried about waxing yet, we are not worried about swirl removal or anything else just getting off imperfections that have attached themselves. And you may have bugs that have been baked on here for two or three months. If you are a car detailer or you are learning you're going to know this is going to be one of your most challenging things to do. Is get those bugs off."
