"Hi it's Dow here at the Firehouse detail shop. We are detailing the exterior of a car today. We've got a clean car we're starting with. We talked a little bit about the tools and the products we are going to need. Important stage in getting started is the evaluation of the car itself. What condition is it in? What are we going to need to do it? If we are really doing a thorough detail I want to go over all of the car and I want to see about, does it have paint over spray, does it have tar, is there sap on the car, is there dents and dings, is there scratches that might need to be removed, is there swirl marks. So I'm going to go over the car and now that it's clean I can see. This car I just noticed has a small ding here on the hood, probably going to require some touch up paint and a dent specialist. I see a few minor scratches and some work that we are going to have to do to try to bring the deep luster back on this black car. Black is really a great color to work with or dark color car because we can do so many things to bring back that rich deep luster shine that a black car owner typically is after. So I'm evaluating the car at this stage and then me and my team of experts will decide ok here's exactly what we are going to do to make this car come back to life and to be perfect."
