"In this segment, we're going to cover adjusting the exhaust valve, cylinder #1, and the same procedure as the intake. Our clearances however, are different. The exhaust valve clearance is between fifty nine thousandths and seventy five thousandths. They also give the specifications in millimeters, if that works better for you. My clearance gauge set is set up for thousandths of an inch, so that's the specs I'll be using, and I'm just going to repeat that procedure. First, I'll break that retaining nut free, then insert my clearance, to feel our gauge. Once again, we're just going to slide the correct feeler gauge in, between the cam shaft, and the rocker arm, and this one fits kind of snugly, so it appears that it's just a little too tight, which is why we're adjusting them and I'm counterclockwise a half a turn. Now, we're going to go back down again, just snug. Tighten that retaining nut. It appears the gauge is still a little tight, so I'll need to recheck that one. I'm going to slide it back in to recheck. That concludes adjusting the exhaust valves, cylinder #1, part1. Please watch our next segment on adjusting the exhaust valve, cylinder #1, part 2."
