Set a Jack Stand

"Okay, the jack stand or load carrying device, what we want to do is sit that right up underneath the vehicle on the frame itself, and then we're going to lower the jack down so the vehicle is actually resting on the jack stand. Never do you want to work on or around a vehicle and leave the weight being supported by the jack. The jack was intended for lifting the vehicle not holding it. In emergency situations this screw jacks are used for changing a tire but that's for emergency situations. I just placed the jack stand right underneath the front section of the frame where the suspension mounts connect up and they'll support it good, all we need is remove the wheel so we have access to rotate the crane. So, watch out next segment, we'll cover removing the wheel, and I'll show you where the access point is so we can get access to a lower crane to rotate the engine."
