"Okay so now we're going to attach the seam binding and I'm going to show you, too, why I put the chalk here and cut above it. It's basically a guide for where I'm going to lay the seam binding. I'm just going to lay it right next to the chalk. And what I'm going to do is start at the seam like I always like to start. Right there. And I'm just going, and if you'll notice too I changed my thread to black because it's the color of my seam binding. If you just have red or you just have whatever you can make sure you put the top color the right color. And what I'm going to do I'm just going to hold it and sew all the way around. I'm just going to line that seam binding up next to the chalk line. And that gives me a full inch in here. And what if someone else wanted to wear these pants and they were taller we could rip it out a little bit. Okay there we go. Now here's that part too where I cut out this little piece so I mean it's actually necessary to do that. You don't want a whole bunch of bulky fabric right there at the corner. Here we go. It goes right over that area. So here we go. And we're almost over to where we started. You see the seam binding is going to be great so all this stuff we tucked underneath and this is going to be attached to the pants. So you wont have to worry about these pants fraying. Right along the chalk. And when I get over here to the edge right where I started. Let me get a little bit closer. And I'm going to go ahead and snip it and leave maybe like an inch and a half. You can measure it if you want but I'm just going to eye it. And what I'm going to do is tuck it under about half an inch. Just lay it right on top. There we go. I'm going to back tack right there. And don't worry about this little excess right here, we can tack this all down where it meets. And in a minute I'm going to show you how to flip it over, pin this up and do a little whip stitch to tack that seam up."
