Summary: Shape a wobbling chicken's beak using food coloring and iClay. Learn to make the chicken's beak with expert tips from an art teacher in this free kid craft video.
"Now we're going to put a beak onto the chicken. The way we do this is we take some of the clay, I-clay, and we add a little bit of food coloring to it, just a drop, and we can mix in the food coloring to give us the color. The I-clay will turn the to the color that we want. It's it's important over here that we don't put too much, cause' the I-clay gets very, could get very loose. We want the, we want it to keep its sticky consistency, but we just take a little bit, and we rub it in, and we see very quickly it changes colors. And once we have it the color we want, what we'll do is we'll form it into the shape of the beak, and the I-clay should still have its stickiness to it, so it'll stick right to the face of the chicken. Now all of this has to be put aside to dry. The I-clay has the, has the characteristic that once it's left out in the air it dries, and the stickiness won't have that same sticky consistency to it. So, while we're forming all the different shapes so then the the consistency is has a has a stickiness to it, but once we're finished with all of these steps, we're going to go ahead, and leave it aside and let it dry. And that's what we're going to do now, and then we'll be ready to put some decorations and put some details by with the paint or with the markers. So now we've attached the beak by dying the I-clay, and of course, if you didn't want to to use the dye, if you if you were able to get different colors of the I-clay, then you would would not need to actually color the I-clay yourself."
